Brooklyn's Wildest Adventure Awaits at Area 53

Zip lines, rock climbing, roller skating, and more packed into one electric Brooklyn destination.

About Us

On Scholes Street in Bushwick, Area 53 Adventure Park has built something Brooklyn genuinely didn't have before: a full-scale indoor adventure complex where kids lose their minds on mega slides and adults rediscover what it feels like to actually play. With 4,257 reviews averaging 4.5 stars, this place has clearly earned its reputation as one of the borough's most talked-about spots.

The park runs a real weekly events calendar, including special Adult Nights that draw crowds looking for something beyond the usual bar scene. Thursday through Sunday the energy ramps up considerably, with families flooding in on weekends and the after-dark crowd taking over on Thursday and Friday evenings. The atmosphere is loud, kinetic, and unapologetically fun.

If you're planning a visit, a little prep goes a long way. Check for discounted tickets online before you arrive, come early on weekends to beat the lines, and budget extra time because most people end up staying longer than they planned.

What We Offer

Area 53 packs an almost absurd amount of activity under one roof. The ropes course and rock climbing walls challenge coordination and nerve. The zip line delivers a genuine rush. Mega slides, a ball pit, battle beams, a ninja foam pit, and a jungle gym keep younger visitors in constant motion, while a dedicated toddler zone gives the littlest adventurers their own safe corner of the chaos.

Beyond the physical attractions, the Clip 'N Climb walls and arcade round out the experience for groups with mixed energy levels. A food court and concessions keep everyone fueled, and locker rentals mean you're not hauling your bag through every obstacle.

For groups, the park offers birthday party packages, school group bookings, team building experiences, and full facility rentals with catering. Whether you're planning a class trip or a corporate outing, the team can build an event around your group's size and goals.

"really cool spot to visit in Brooklyn especially if you’re a Brooklyn local & want to do something nearby! Check out Groupon for discounted tickets before purchasing on the website / in person. Be prepared for a crowd (even during snow days) on the weekends. I came at 11am & an hour didn’t past before it was crowded. Though there’s plenty of space and activities to have fun. Also, shower after your visit; I’m not sure what the cleaning process is but there are a lot of people in an indoor space , sweating & not a hand sanitizer dispenser in site !"

"This place is honestly overpriced, extremely crowded, and not the cleanest. Be prepared for a very long line when you arrive—definitely bring your patience. I will say, there’s a ton for kids to do: rock climbing, skating, a zip line, bowling, slides, and laser tag (I think). So entertainment-wise, it delivers. However, safety didn’t feel like a priority. There were kids everywhere with very little staff supervision. One of the most concerning things was seeing kids on the skate area without an attendant. Food prices were also pretty steep. I paid nearly $65 for a drink, two churros, onion rings, and chicken tenders. My kids wanted it, so I went along with it—but it definitely didn’t feel worth the price. The cleanliness was another issue. The ball pits looked questionable, and in some areas you could clearly see that the floors were dirty. Overall, while there’s a lot to do, the crowds, lack of supervision, high prices, and cleanliness issues make this a dont spin the block. (1 and done)"

"If you’re looking for something different to do in NYC that actually feels like FUN, let me put you on to Area 53 in Williamsburg. We pulled up for their Adult Game Night on a Thursday to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and baby… we turned into full-grown kids in the BEST way. From the moment we walked in, it was a whole vibe. Music playing, people laughing, energy high—and the activities? Next level. We went from rock climbing to roller skating to zip lining like we had no bills, no responsibilities, and not a care in the world. Just pure fun. And let me tell you, nothing bonds a group like cheering each other on while somebody’s halfway up a rock wall or screaming on the zip line. 😂 The space is big, interactive, and perfect for groups. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, planning a date night, or just want to switch it up with your friends—this is it. We laughed, we played, we captured content (yes, we got a cute TikTok in before the night ended), and we stayed ALL the way until the lights came on. That alone tells you everything you need to know. 10/10 experience. No notes. If you haven’t been to Adult Game Night at Area 53 yet… what are you waiting for?"

"The adventure park added new slides that are fun and a bit scary for some people. I thought it was a good upgrade to this adventure park but I felt like the choices were a BIT limited. I don’t know, it’s just my opinion. The guy worker told me that my session was technically over and I had to take off my equipment but I asked him if I could rock climb one last time before I leave and he let me so I felt that some employees they hired were really nice."

"Area 53 Adventure Park is an absolute blast and such a unique experience in Brooklyn. From the moment you walk in, the energy is fun, exciting, and well-organized. There’s an incredible variety of activities that keep both kids and adults fully engaged—climbing, obstacle courses, challenges, and nonstop action. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on safety while still making sure everyone is having a great time. The space is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, which makes it easy to move between activities without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you’re coming for a birthday, a family outing, or just something different to do, Area 53 delivers an unforgettable experience. We left smiling, tired (in the best way), and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend!"
